HOW TO USE IT

Bloom the Threads. Release Their Full Character.

A short infusion gives the threads time to release their colour, aroma and flavour more evenly through the dish.

Ideal for larger households, celebrations and passionate home cooks.

  1. Gently crush

Start with a small pinch and lightly crush the threads between clean fingers or with a mortar and pestle.

  2. Bloom for 10–15 minutes

Steep in a little warm water, milk or broth. Warm liquid is enough; boiling is unnecessary at this stage.

  3. Add everything

Add both the infused liquid and the threads to rice, desserts, tea, sauces or baking.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before You Order.

Still unsure about a recipe, size or order? Ask us directly.

What does ISO 3632 Category I mean?

ISO 3632 assesses measurable saffron characteristics including colour, flavour, aroma, moisture and purity. This saffron was independently tested and classified in the standard’s highest category.

How much saffron should I use?

Recipes and preferences vary, so start with a small pinch. Bloom the threads for 10–15 minutes, add the infusion, then adjust the next batch to your taste.

Where is the saffron sourced and packed?

It is sourced from Herat, Afghanistan through trusted Afghan supply partners and growers, then imported, prepared for sale and dispatched from Sydney.

Can I see the laboratory report?

Yes. The complete report is available on our Laboratory Test page, including the exact crocin, picrocrocin, safranal and moisture results.
